How it works
Video: Installation
Protection sequence
Detection
The motion detector (WiFi or wired) spots the intruder. Or you trigger manually via remote or SmartLife app.
Instant release
The generator releases dense fog in under 1 second. Visibility drops below 10 cm.
Neutralisation
The room is fully saturated in 8 seconds. The burglar can't see, can't steal, and leaves.
Dissipation
The fog dissipates naturally in 30-45 minutes. No residue, no damage. Open windows to speed up.

Frequently asked questions
- Is the fog dangerous for health?
Made from food-grade glycol (sucrose, kaolin, magnesium oxide), certified non-toxic by the University of Crete and CE compliant. Direct and prolonged exposure may nonetheless cause temporary irritation of the eyes and throat — the device must never be triggered while people are inside a closed room.
- Is it dangerous for my pets?
No. The fog is non-toxic. The smoke smell naturally causes animals to retreat to another room. Always provide an escape route (door left ajar).
- Does the fog leave marks on furniture?
Thanks to the built-in filter, Smoke-Defender drastically reduces residues compared to standard fog generators (which leave visible marks on surfaces). A few micro-droplets may be observed under the device after activation — easily cleaned with warm water.
- What does the smell like after activation?
The smoke smell is intentionally strong (close to burnt wood) — it's a key part of the dissuasive effect, creating a sense of urgency for the intruder. The smell persists 2 to 6 hours on fabrics and dissipates with extended ventilation (open windows 30-60 minutes).
- What should I do if it accidentally activates while I'm home?
Wait for the ejection to finish (a few seconds), then open the windows wide to ventilate — this speeds up dissipation of the fog and its smell. The fog is certified non-toxic (food-grade glycol, tested by the University of Crete). For comfort, we simply recommend not deliberately triggering the device in an occupied, closed room.
- Does the fog trigger smoke detectors?
No. It's not smoke — it's a glycol-based fog that doesn't trigger standard smoke detectors.
